Why Tissue Salts?

Pregnancy Tissue Salt Programme — a gentle, natural approach many naturopaths, midwives, and homeopaths recommend to support pregnancy and postpartum recovery using cell salts.

The idea is that during pregnancy, the demand for minerals increases dramatically — not only to support the growing baby, but to keep the mother strong, balanced, and nourished. Tissue salts offer a microdose way to help with this, working on a cellular level without overwhelming the body.

🧡 How to Take Them:

  • Usually taken 3–4 tablets of each salt, 2–3 times per day.

  • Many people take combination tablets to make things easier — like Martin & Pleasance, Schuessler Tissue Salts, or Hyland’s brands.

  • Safe alongside prenatal vitamins and other supplements (but always best to check with your practitioner if you're on medications or have complex health needs).

🌿 The Pregnancy Tissue Salt Program (Traditional Version)

This plan typically divides the pregnancy into three trimesters, each with its own tissue salt combo. Then there's a set for postpartum recovery.

🤰 First Trimester (Weeks 1–12)

  • Tissue Salts:

    • Calc Fluor (Calcium Fluoride) – elasticity, prevents stretch marks and hemorrhoids

    • Calc Phos (Calcium Phosphate) – bone and teeth development, energy

    • Ferrum Phos (Iron Phosphate) – supports blood oxygen, immune system, early fatigue

💡 Why: These help lay the foundation, support cell growth, and ease first-trimester fatigue and nausea.

🤰 Second Trimester (Weeks 13–28)

  • Tissue Salts:

    • Calc Fluor

    • Calc Phos

    • Ferrum Phos

    • Mag Phos (Magnesium Phosphate) – muscle cramps, nerve health, growing pains
